CLAYTON —

Two houses were damaged Saturday night by a mini-van that went off of Old Salem Road.

Police said the mini-van went off the left side of the road in the 4400 block. It went up a driveway and clipped the right front corner of the first house.

Police said the mini-van then clipped a second house on the left rear corner, and ended up in a decorative pond. The driver took off on foot.

Police called in a K-9 to search for the driver.

A man suffered a minor head injury, possibly from falling debris. He was treated at the scene, and was not transported. He was told he could stay in the damaged house.
