Two injured in Bethel Twp. apartment fire

BETHEL TWP. —

Two people were injured in fire at a Bethel Twp. apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

Around 12:47 a.m., multiple fire departments responded to the apartment fire at 16 Forest Road and reported heavy smoke upon arrival. Officials said the fire started on the first floor and spread to the second story of the four-unit building.

Three of the units were occupied and one was vacant, according to reports. The American Red Cross was called to assist displaced residents.

Two people sustained injuries considered minor.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
