Suspect in Piqua stabbing gets $50K bond

PIQUA, Ohio —

A man accused of stabbing another man in the back appeared in court on Wednesday morning and was charged.

Steven Barnes, 31, of Piqua, is being held in the Miami County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He was charged with felonious assault.

Barnes was treated and released from a local hospital after suffering hand and arm lacerations.

The victim, Jeffery Cline, 37, suffered a knife wound to the middle of his back.

Police said the two men got into a fight at Lucky's Bar on North Mani Street in Piqua. At this time, officers said they are not sure was led to the fight.
