Two shoplifting suspects nabbed with computer, fruit

BUTLER TOWNSHIP —

Two suspected shoplifters are in custody after deputies said they took merchandise from a Walmart store.

A Montgomery County deputy sheriff was taking a break at the Walmart on York Commons Blvd. He noticed a car pull up to a side door. The deputy saw a man come running out of the door, and jump into the car which took off.

The deputy followed the car to the 1900 block of Needmore Road where the suspects were stopped.

Walmart loss prevention confirmed that the two had taken an all-in-one computer and some apples, oranges and bananas. The merchandise is valued at under $1,000.

Two people are in custody.
