Two Troopers Injured In Marysville Crash

MARYSVILLE, Ohio —

On February 26 at approximately 3:15 p.m. two troopers from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the ramp from U.S. Route 36/State Route 4 to U.S. Route 33 westbound, on the northwest edge of Marysville.

Trooper Jeremy Allen, age 33 of Bellfontaine, and Trooper James Bryner, age 31 of Columbus, were in their vehicle preparing to leave after responding to a previous vehicle crash when another vehicle slid into the Patrol car’s rear end.

Both troopers were wearing their seat belts. The motorist and passengers of the second vehicle were not injured. The Patrol car sustained minor damage.

The troopers were transported by ambulance to Union County Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
