Two Troy Firefighters Promoted

Troy, Ohio —

Two more promitions among the ranks of the Troy Fire Department due to the recent retirement of Chief John Denney.

Friday afternoon in Troy City Hall, Platoon Commander Matthew Simmons was administered the oath of office as assistant fire chief.

Fire inspector Kristopher Alexander was appointed Platoon Commander.

Assistant Chief Simmons has been on the Troy Fire Department since February 21, 1999.

Platoon Commander Alexander joined the fire department April 2, 2000.

Earlier this month Christopher Boehringer was named fire chief.

All three promotions were the results of tests administered by the Troy Civil Service Commission.
