DAYTON —
A 32-year-old Dayton man has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on suspicion of raping a child under the age of 13.
Timothy A. Slusher, of the 1600 block of Xenia Avenue, is in the Montgomery County Jail following his arrest at 10 a.m. Friday at a home on Sandhurst Drive, according to jail records.
Slusher is accused of using a knife to threaten the child, according to the Marshals Service.
The child’s name, age and gender were not released.
The child’s family learned of the alleged abuse on Thursday and authorities found the suspect trying to hide at the home on Sandhurst Drive, according to the Marshals Service.
Slusher is not listed as a sex offender in Ohio. He has been arrested on various offenses dating to 1999, including domestic violence and drug abuse, according to Dayton Municipal Court records.
