In his first news conference on Friday, Bellefontaine Police Chief Brad Kunze told us more about the murder of Tiffany Brown.

Chief Kunze said her body was found under a pile of scrap wood in her mother's basement. She suffered multiple stab wound.

Local, state and federal authorities are now searching for Samuel Littleton, her mother's boyfriend.

Late Friday, a warrant was issued for Littleton, charging him with murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Officials believe Tiffany was murdered sometime on Friday, February 11th. She was last seen picking up her children and dropping them off at a babysitter.

Over the next few days, Samuel Littleton became what police called, a person of interest.

Chief Kunze said, "We were reaching out to interview him and we just couldn't connect with him." Police believe Littleton had already left town.

On Wednesday night, investigators went back to the home of Tiffany's mother and spotted blood on the floor in the basement.

"That's when we secured the basement as a crime scene," said Chief Kunze.

Investigators found the woman's partially clad body under a wood pile. They believe the body had been there since she first went missing.

People who live on Eastern Avenue are shocked. They remember seeing Tiffany visit her mother's house with her two young sons.

"It must be really hard for a mother to lose a daughter this way," neighbor Mary Rapp said.

A nationwide manhunt is being conducted for Littleton, who is the boyfriend of Brown's mother, Debra Neeley.

A red Chevrolet pickup truck that police believe was last driven by Littleton, was found Wednesday night parked at a farm on Township Road 33 in rural Logan County. The truck still had the keys in the ignition. A search of the area using dogs and air support from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, failed to turn up anything.

Authorities emphasized on Friday that Tiffany Brown's mother, Debra Neeley, is not a suspect.
