CINCINNATI —

Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig is expected to announce Wednesday that Cincinnati will host the 2015 All-Star Game at Great American Ballpark. Selig will be at the ballpark for an afternoon news conference, according to the official Cincinnati Reds website.

Selig will be at the ballpark to announce a “significant contribution” to the Urban Youth Academy in Cincinnati. But he is also expected to make the announcement about the All-Star Game.

The website says that neither the club nor the league have confirmed that the announcement will come Wednesday.

The Reds last hosted an All-Star Game at Riverfront Stadium in 1988. Crosley Field hosted All-Star Games in 1938 and 1953.
