Woman Arrested In Connection With Death Of Sidney Man

SIDNEY, Ohio —

Authorities in Sidney said they have arrested a woman in connection with the death of 80-year-old Paul Wilt.

Wilt was found dead inside his Sidney condominium earlier this week.

Gloria A. Jelks, 36, of Sidney, appeared in Sidney Municipal Court on Friday morning and pleaded not guilty to an aggravated murder charge.

Jelks was arraigned under tight security before Judge Donald Luce. She was represented by a public defender.

Prosecutors asked the judge for Jelks to be held without bail. The judge accepted that request.

Jelks was served with the arrest warrant in the Shelby County Jail, where she was being held on an unrelated drug charge.
