Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car

A woman is dead after she was hit by a car in Auglaize County.

It happened just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

State Troopers said Nancy Hertenstein, 42, was walking westbound on Parkway Drive just west of Southway Drive in St. Marys, when Bradley Sawmiller, 16, hit her.

Hertenstein was taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital, but later died from her injuries.

There is no word yet on any charges Sawmiller might face.

The crash is still under investigation.
