ENON —

A woman was injured Friday after her vehicle slid off a road that was covered with ice.

The crash happened at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Snider Road.

A woman driving a compact car hit some ice and slid off the road, striking a utility pole.

The woman was taken by life squad to Springfield Regional Medical Center. Her injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

Emergency crews responded and immediately shut down Snider because the road had “a sheet of ice” on it, according to Clark County deputies on scene.

The impact snapped the utility pole in half, knocking down telephone wires onto the roadway.
