Woman Killed After Fight With Her Sister

By Mark Bruce

DAYTON, Ohio —

A woman was hit and killed by a car in Dayton and police said the driver was her sister.

Dayton Officers responded to 1217 Valley Street around 11:50 a.m. on a call of a pedestrian struck.

When they arrived, police found a 45-year-old female severely injured. She was pronounced dead shortly after at a local hospital. The woman was identified as Cheryl Satterfield, of Dayton.

Lt. Brian Johns said the woman was in a fight with her 42-year-old sister, who was sitting in a car. Officers said the older sister was punching her younger sibling through the window, so he sister tried to drive away.

Johns said the 45-year-old grabbed the car and was dragged down the street. When she let go, the car ran over her.

Homicide and traffic investigators are looking into this case. Johns says it doesn't appear to be intentional.
