FT. JEFFERSON, Darke Co. —
A 31-year-old Greenville man was arrested Saturday night after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a house, injuring a woman sitting on her bed.
Bruce Burns was arrested an charged with OVI after he crashed into the house in the 3800 block of Ohio 121 around 10:15 p.m, according to deputies. A 20-year-old woman was sitting on her bed, which was against the wall the SUV struck during the crash.
She was transported to Wayne Health Care, where she was treated and released.
Burns was reportedly travelling east on Weavers-Ft. Jefferson Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Ohio 121, deputies said. According to authorities, Burns took a left-hand turn onto Ohio 121, lost control and drove of the road and into the house.
Burns bonded out of the Darke County Jail, deputies said.
The crash remains under investigation.
