Woman Robbed In Kmart Parking Lot

RIVERSIDE, Ohio —

A woman is upset but okay after she said a man robbed her in a local Kmart parking lot.   The purse-snatching happened in the parking lot of the Kmart on Woodman Drive in Riverside Wednesday afternoon.   The victim said she had just been dropped off at the store when a man jumped out of a car and approached her.   She said he demanded her purse and threatened to shoot her.   Before her attacker ran off, the victim said he smacked her in the face.   Even though he never showed a weapon to the woman, she said she feared for her life and gave in to his demands. She said she still fears for her safety.   "I'm just scared 'cause of my purse,” she said. “I had my water bill which has my identification. My address, my name and everything so he's gonna know where I live now and he's gonna know I called police on him."   The single mother of three said the purse contained all of the money she had for her family.   She gave Riverside police a description of her attacker and the man driving the car he got out of.   Riverside police are reviewing evidence but have not made any arrests.
