Woman Scares Off Would-Be Invader

RICHMOND (Ind.) —

Richmond police are investigating an attempted home invasion that occurred on the 200 block of North 21st Street early Friday morning.

According to the woman living at the home, she heard a noise outside her bedroom window and took a gun to investigate. She then noticed a man standing by her back door. She fired a warning shot at the man, who fled down an alley.

The woman described the man as white and short, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Police said the invasion is not connected to the city’s serial home invader.

This marks the third Richmond home invasion in the past three weeks.
