A woman showed up at Good Samaritan Hospital with a gunshot wound to the groin, and police said the shooting likely occurred inside a residence on Banker Place in the Dasoto Bass Apartments.

Officers responded to the hospital around 12:45 a.m. Saturday and once they arrived they discovered a vehicle had transported the victim to the hospital from the shooting scene. The woman was initially giving police multiple stories, but officers eventually determined the shooting likely happened inside an apartment at 1813 Banker Place, police said.

Medics transferred the woman from Good Samaritan Hospital to Miami Valley Hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not considered life threatening, according to police.

Police did not have any immediate information on suspects and the shooting remains under investigation.
