MIAMI TWP., Montgomery Co. —
A woman was transported to the hospital after she struck a parked SUV and then a house on Hyacinth Court early Friday morning, according to police.
The female driver was travelling in the 6000 block of Hyacinth around 2:50 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve and struck a vehicle parked in a driveway. The parked SUV was pushed into the front side of the home, according to police. Following the inital collision the woman continued driving through the home’s front yard, stopping once she struck a pillar on the front side of the house.
Police said the woman was under the influence of alcohol and had taken some prescription pills. She likely will be cited with OVI and failure to control, according to police.
The residents of the home were home at the time the crash occurred, but no other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
