CELINA, Ohio —
Police in Celina said they still have more questions than answers in a fight and disturbance early Sunday morning.
The victim was stabbed in the hand with a knife. The stabbing happened on a sidewalk on South Main Street between Logan Street and West Bank Drive at Grand Lake St. Marys.
According to police, there were two groups of people walking their separate ways when a verbal exchange ended up in a fight.
As the victim tried to separate a friend from the fisticuffs, she was cut on a finger and noticed blood.
Police Chief David Slusser said the female victim, whom he referred to as "uncooperative," refused immediate medical treatment, did not want charges filed, and said she believed the stab wound was unintentional.
Despite the victim not wanting the case pursued, Slusser said the investigation will continue.
