The game will be resumed at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31st with Fort Wayne batting with two outs and runners at first and second in the third inning. The game will continue to its scheduled nine innings of play. A seven-inning game will follow.

The Wizards took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning against Dragons starting pitcher Matt Klinker. Luis Durango walked and scored on a double to left-center field by Robert Perry. Perry went to third on a sacrifice and scored on Felix Carrasco’s ground out.

Dayton’s Logan Parker connected on his fourth home run of the season leading off the second inning to get the Dragons on the board.

The Dragons will send left-hander Jeremy Horst to the mound in relief of Klinker when the game resumes Saturday. Luis Montano (6-2, 3.27) will start the second game for Dayton.

The Dragons are back home at Fifth Third Field on Sunday at the special start time of 4:00 p.m. as they host West Michigan.

The Dragons are 25-26 on the season, tied with Fort Wayne for third place in the Eastern Division. They are one and one-half games behind West Michigan for second place and the wildcard spot in the playoff race with 17 games remaining in the first half. West Michigan lost their fifth straight game on Friday night.
