Vikings Draft Ohio State LB Homan In 6th Round

EDEN PRARIE, Minn. —

The Minnesota Vikings have selected Coldwater native and Ohio State linebacker Ross Homan in the sixth round of the NFL draft.

The Vikings took Homan with the 200th overall pick on Saturday. It was their fourth selection of the sixth round.

They also took Arkansas offensive lineman DeMarcus Love, South Florida defensive back Mistral Raymond and Slippery Rock offensive lineman Brandon Fusco in the sixth round.

The Vikings started Saturday by taking Iowa defensive tackle Christian Ballard in the fourth round and took Utah cornerback Brandon Burton in the fifth round before trading their second fifth-round pick to Cleveland.

The Vikings took quarterback Christian Ponder in the first round on Thursday and Notre Dame tight end Kyle Rudolph in the second round on Friday. The Vikings also have two picks in the seventh round.
