DAYTON, Ohio —

The latest snowfall has ended, but blowing and drifting snow will continue in most rural areas. The region saw between 1-3 inches of new snow on Friday.

Driving conditions will continue to be hazardous and local law enforcement agencies are urging motorists to take their time traveling. They said the best thing to do is to stay home.

Northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph can also be expected and this could cause blowing and drifting snow.

Storm Center Meteorologist Kimberly Thomson said that we will see more flurries or light snow showers with highs in the low to mid 30s today. This pattern continues as we start the month of March. Tonight, the skies will be mostly cloudy with a few lingering flurries and lows in the low to mid 20s.
