Snow Flurries Continue, Temps To Drop

DAYTON, Ohio —

The Miami Valley saw its first snow flurries Wednesday, and although the flurries will taper off, temperatures will continue to drop, causing some roads to turn icy.

Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson said, “It will still be breezy this evening as well, which will create wind chills in the upper teens.”

He said the sun will return on Thursday, but that will not last long as clouds return in the afternoon. According to Simpson, a stray flurry is possible Thursday night, but Saturday could bring accumulating show across the area.

Temperatures on Wednesday night will drop into the low 20s with clearing skies. Temperatures on Thursday will rise into the mid 30s.

Local law enforcement agencies said it is important for those traveling on area roadways to take their time and to give plenty of room between vehicles.
