DAYTON, Ohio —

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire Miami Valley until 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Wayne County and Randolph counties in Indiana are under this advisory.

Champaign, Darke, Logan, and Preble counties in Ohio are under a Level 1 snow emergencies.

Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson said the snow has begun to taper off, and now only light snow showers will continue through the evening. "We can expect to see another inch or so of accumulation by morning," Simpson said.

Many schools are on a 2-hour delay Wednesday morning because the roads could be slick and hazardous.

The Miami Valley has seen anywhere between 3 to 5 inches of snow. Simpson said there are some areas to the northwest that could have seen more than 5 inches of snow.
