The winds howled all through the night, knocking down some tree branches and even some power lines.

In Sugarcreek Township on Little Sugarcreek Road, police and fire crews had to shut down the road and call power crews after a tree limb came down on top of a power line.

Snow flurries were also spotted in Sugarcreek Township. Flurries were also seen near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, but none of it was sticking to the ground or creating roads hazardous.

The strong winds were making walking and driving troublesome on Wednesday morning.

In Dayton, the powerful winds knocked down a utility pole on Hillcrest Avenue, which is located off Riverside Drive.

The winds knocked the pole down around 4 a.m. Wednesday. Crews from Dayton Power and Light were called to make repairs.

Officials with DP&L said almost 700 customers were without power. They said most of the outages were in Logan and Champaign counties.
