Thunderstorms Possible Throughout Holiday Weekend

DAYTON, Ohio —

Thunderstorms are possible throughout the holiday weekend, according to WHIO-TV Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek.

It will be hot and humid with highs near 90 both Saturday and Sunday. July 4th temperatures will be in the upper 80s.

There is a chance for scattered thunderstorms each day, mostly in the afternoon and evening on July 4th.

Today's high will be in the mid-80s and humidity returns Friday with temperatures in the upper 80s, according to Wirdzek.

"After another great night of comfortable weather, I expect us to warm up a bit more this afternoon as compared to yesterday," Wirdzek said. "Humidity will still be low and mostly sunny skies will persist, so it will end up being a pretty decent pool day. A few more clouds arrive late tonight with the outside chance of an overnight shower or thunderstorm in select spots."
