Inmate Accused Of Escape Pleads Not Guilty

DAYTON, Ohio -- A man who police said escaped from his work detail, carjacked a vehicle and led officers on a chase, pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday.Shawn Fleming, 34, pleaded not guilty to robbery, grand theft auto and escape charges. Earlier this month, Fleming was picking up trash on Webster Street when he allegedly escaped, carjacked an SUV and led police on a chase through two counties.The chase ended when the SUV crashed in Fairborn.Fleming is being held on a $100,000 bond.
