CLARK COUNTY -- Police said a man walked into a local pizza restaurant and tried to rob it armed with a baseball bat.

The robbery happened Tuesday afternoon at the Cassano’s on South Dayton-Lakeview Road in Clark County.

An employee said a man with a cloth mask over his face walked in, hit the baseball bat on the counter and demanded cash.

The employee refused to give the man the money. The man hit the counter again with the baseball bat and then ran out of the business.

No one was injured.
