Friday, May 9, 2008 – updated: 5:15 pm EDT May 9, 2008

Authorities in West Carrollton said two vehicles collided and sent two drivers to a local hospital.

The crash happened Friday afternoon in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 near West Carrollton High School.

The Ohio State Patrol said a car lost control for some reason and hit a pickup truck. They said the highway was shut down for brief period of time so that Careflight could land.

The driver of the car was flown to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers said the driver of the pickup truck was also taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The highway was taken down to one lane while the crash was investigated.
