LEBANON, Ohio -- A Columbus-area man who tried to meet a teenager at the statehouse for sex was sentenced Wednesday in a Warren County court.

Barry Menster, 48, will spend 30 days in jail, three years on probation and pay a $1,000 fine. Last month, Menster pleaded guilty to importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Menster was arrested last October in a sting operation. He went to the statehouse in Columbus to meet with who he thought was a 15-year-old girl that he met online.

The girl he was chatting with online turned out to be undercover detectives in Warren County.
