NEW INFORMATION: Sidney Man's Death Ruled Homicide

SIDNEY, Ohio -- Police in Sidney now say the death of Paul Wilt, 80, is ruled a homicide.An updated press released late Wednesday afternoon states, "After reviewing the report from the Montgomery County coroner's office, Mr. Wilt's death has been designated a homicide," said police spokesperson, Capt. Rod Austin.In an earlier release Wednesday, police said that Wilt suffered "blunt force trauma" to the head.On Tuesday morning, Wilt, of Independence Court, was found dead in his home. Police said there was no evidence of forced entry into his condominium.Investigators did confirm that Wilt was the victim of a residential burglary a month ago.Overnight Tuesday, detectives executed several search warrants in Sidney in reference to their investigation into the murder.The search is now on for his attacker or attackers.
