People from all over attended the Blessing of the Bikes Sunday afternoon at Dayton's Welcome Stadium, just off I-75, next to UD arena.

The event kicked off at 10 a.m. with live music, food and different places to buy Souvenirs. News Center 7's James Brown arrived around noon to introduce the deacons that were going to bless each bike.

The Blessing Of The Bikes provides an opportunity for all motorcycle riders to have their bikes, and themselves, blessed for a safe riding season, while promoting a positive image of the motorcyclist to the community.

This event also raised donations for the Special Wish Foundation and the Greenbucs, local chapter of Ambucs.

The blessing was open to all makes and models of motorcycles, as well as trikes, scooters, mini bikes, ATV's and others.
