A bear that was found chained to the porch of a Dayton home is now headed to a wildlife rescue shelter.

Crews found the bear last week at a home on Catskill Lane in Belmont. Investigators believe the black bear is a female who is about 3 months old.

On Monday, the Humane Society is transporting the bear to a rescue shelter.

The people who live at the house where the bear was found said it did not belong to them.
