Gun ban

Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer says he has not seen assault style weapons being used in homicides in the county in the past five years. The Sheriff believes that universal background checks, enforcement of current laws and stricter punishment would be better than a ban on assault-style weapons. Most of the weapons in the Sheriff's Office property room, like this Smith & Wesson revolver, were taken in drug raids, traffic stops and drop-offs. TY GREENLEES/STAFF
