A woman taking part in a cloning study is now pregnant, according to a Wednesday report in a English-language newspaper of the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Severino Antinori, the director of an infertility program at the International Centre for the Study of Physiopathology of Human Reproduction in Rome, said that one of the women in his study is eight weeks pregnant, the Gulf News reported.

Antinori wouldn't confirm nor deny that the baby is a clone. If the child is, this would be the first human cloning pregnancy in history.
