It's a great time to start your Christmas shopping; you can beat the rush and shelves are stocked, but what toys are going to be popular this year?

You know how kids are. In general, they don't care how much a toy costs or who makes it. They just want to have fun, so Yahoo's site for kids, Yahooligans, gave kids the chance to vote for toys on their wish lists.

Across the nation, 23,000 kids weighed in. Here are their top five picks:

1. Game Boy Advance: Remember the popular Game Boy? It's his advanced cousin. It costs $70, and the games cost anywhere from $15 to $40.
2. Bratz Funky Fashion Makeover: It's a spinoff of the popular Bratz dolls. It costs $25.
3. Password Journal 2: It allows girls to keep a secret diary and costs $20.
4. Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game: They can be traded or played with. A pack of nine costs just under $9.
5. Singing Starz Video Karaoke: Allows kids to try to become the next superstar. It costs $100.
