Vegas Q&A: What Game Shows Have Slot Machines?
Updated: 3:04 p.m. EDT September 1, 2003 Question: I'm a big fan of the "Wheel of Fortune" slots. Are there any other game-show theme machines around or in development? Donald in Springfield, Ill.
Answer: I think the better question would be which game shows aren't being made into slot machines. The list would probably be shorter. In addition to the "Wheel of Fortune" machines, casinos currently have slots based on "Jeopardy!" "Family Feud," "Press Your Luck," "Let's Make a Deal," "$100,000 Pyramid," "The Price Is Right," "Hollywood Squares," "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" "Survivor," and "Family Feud," just to name a few off the top of my head. On top of those with actual game-show themes, many of them have multiple varieties. I just recently saw a new "Family Feud" machine that launches a "Survey Says" bonus round that will randomly award more credits. This came in addition to the original machines, which came equipped with a camera, activated when you get a certain combination on the slot machine reels. It snaps a picture of you and then you become a contestant in a video version of the actual game. If you have a question you'd like to submit, click here.
