Posted: 9:44 am EDT June 30, 2009Updated: 10:18 am EDT July 1, 2009

The Dayton Gems will have a bit of the Bombers will them this fall and we're talking about more than the hockey fan base here in the Miami Valley.

Veteran defenseman Greg Labenski has signed on to play for the new team in town.

Labenski was the Bomber's team captain the last three seasons.

The 31-year old married a local woman and the couple had twins less than a year ago.

Labenski has played in just about every minor league possible in his eleven pro seasons. He had a brief stop in the IHL back in 1999 with the Kansas City Blades.

Greg's contract is for the next two seasons with the new Dayton Gems.
