Breaking News Team/Reporter

I’m thrilled to be part of News Center 7 and have made the Miami Valley my second home.

I’m originally from a small town just south of Columbus – Circleville, OH. We’ve got the Pumpkin Show every October, which is home to the World’s Largest Pumpkin Pie.

I graduated from Wright State University. I fell in love with radio while at WSU, broadcasting two weekly radio shows in addition to basketball and baseball games. I hosted several noteworthy musicians on that show – the crown jewel may have been the late Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band (I told him I was 20 and he said he had socks older than me).

A good friend and I co-hosted a weekly video blog affiliated with the campus newspaper called “Really, Wright State?” I’m sure it’s still out there on YouTube. My first job after graduation was as an education reporter for the Middletown Journal.

I eventually became the paper’s city reporter and was humbled to be recognized with a pair of AP awards for news writing in 2011. I began in Dayton as a breaking news reporter in January 2012.
