Becky Grimes

News Center 7 Special Projects Manager

I became interested in broadcasting while still in school at Kettering's Fairmont East High School.

I got my start in radio while I was still a senior at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. After graduation, I was lucky to get a job back home in Dayton. I became the very first female newscaster for WHIO Radio.

In 1984, I made the transition to television as a crime beat reporter for WHIO-TV. I also anchored the Saturday morning show for 7 years before moving to San Diego, California for a reporting job at KFMB-TV. I came back home in 1999, and became the Special Projects Manager at WHIO-TV, overseeing many of the investigations that you see on our station.
