BIO

I’ve been working at WHIO-TV since November of 2005. I’m happy to be in the Dayton area and enjoy the music scene downtown. I graduated from Penn State with a degree in Meteorology in May of 2003. Before working here, I spent two years at WBOC in Salisbury, MD and a few months at WKTV in Utica, NY. When the changing weather landscape in the Miami Valley doesn’t have me busy, I enjoy playing guitar and listening to music.

The challenge of communicating effectively to a wide audience

What do you not like about your job?
The early morning hours

What would be a perfect day for you?
Playing jazz guitar in a band at a jazz club.

What advice would you have for someone wanting to go into the business?
Seek out internships at local TV stations to supplement your academia
