Army Cpl. Jeremy Greene Of Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- A Clark County community remembers a fallen soldier.Army Cpl. Jeremy Greene, a Shawnee High School graduate, was killed on Saturday in Afghanistan.Julie Walder, who used to live next door, to Greene said, “He was so excited about going into the military and everybody was so happy for him.”The Pentagon said Greene died from a non-combat-related injury.Greene graduated from Shawnee High School in 2001. On Tuesday, the flag at the school was flown at half staff in his honor.Tuesday started with a moment of silence for Greene at the school. A video tribute was also shown.Greene was involved in a lot of activities at the high school. They included the art club, Muse Machine and Students Against Drunk Driving.Previous Story:
