DAYTON, Ohio -- The Dayton Flyers got a taste last season and Brian Gregory hopes his guys are sstill hungry as they get ready to start up for another basetball season.

Teams can officially begin to practice on Friday.

The coach expects his team to learn a lot from last season's two-game run in the NCAA Tournament, a weekend filled with an awesome start and a frustrating finish.

At Media Day on Monday, Coach Brian Gregory said, "The desire to get more does drive you. That's one thing we do have, we have some guys who are very self motivated."

Flyers forward Chris Wright said, " A lot of people didn't think we belonged out there on the floor, but we understood that we did. In our minds and in our hearts, we knew that we could play with anybody."

The exhibition season tips off in three weeks when Ferris State comes to town.

Then the Flyers face Northern Kentucky on Monday, November 9.

The Flyers get started for real on November 14 at home against Creighton.
