Maria Sharapova stuns at 2012 ESPY Awards
Maria Sharapova traded in her tennis gear for a breathtaking sheer chiffon dress to attend the 2012 ESPY awards. She was nominated for Best Female Athlete, competing against Brittney Griner, Lindsey Vonn and Abby Wambach. Maria didn't take home the award for best female athlete, it was instead awarded to Brittney Griner. Sharapova is set to compete in the 2012 London Olympic tennis singles and will also be making history as Russia's first female Olympic flag-bearer at this years games.
