Light Snow Falls In Miami Valley

Posted: 3:08 pm EST November 20, 2008Updated: 9:03 pm EST November 20, 2008

Snow started falling around parts of the Miami Valley on Thursday afternoon.

Temperatures hovered around the freezing mark, allowing for snow to fall instead of rain. However, the temperatures are expected to drop into the upper teens overnight into Friday morning.

The snow showers are moving in from the northwest from Lake Michigan. Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson said the snow showers will continue through the evening and into the morning, bringing a light dusting of snow.

This is the second time in the last week that winter-like conditions have hit the Miami Valley. Last Saturday, the region saw up to a half-inch of snow in the northern communites.
