About 3,000 total fans turned out for the Wright State Basketball Halloween Hoops event Thursday night and the Raider fans were not disappointed as they were treated to candy, fun, basketball and a special dance by both teams.

The event started at 5:30 in the Berry Room where more than 500 season-ticket holders showed up for a closed event that included chalk talks by head men's coach Brad Brownell and head women's coach Bridgett Williams as well as autographs from the players.

Meanwhile on the floor, all the WSU sports teams offered candy to the trick or treaters of all ages until 7:00 when the basketball event started.

The basketball event included exhibitions by both teams that featured scrimmages, a shooting contest and a dunk contest by the men's team--won by senior Todd Brown.

The evening was capped off with both squads teaming up on the court in costume with a dance to Micheal Jackson's Thriller.

The men's team will host Central State in an exhibition game November 5 while the women will open the season at IPFW November 14.
