UPDATED: 2 hospitalized after their ATV crashes into Dayton Police cruiser; Driver cited for OVI

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 2 p.m.:

Two people were sent to the hospital after their ATV crashed into a Dayton Police cruiser Friday overnight.

A Dayton officer saw a four-wheeler without its lights on traveling on South Broad Street around 3:22 a.m.

That officer made a U-turn and before he could alert other officers, the four-wheeler went into the eastbound lanes and hit another police cruiser, according to a spokesperson for Dayton Police.

The driver and passenger of the four-wheeler were transported to Miami Valley Hospital in stable condition.

No officers were injured in the crash.

A spokesperson said the driver of the four-wheeler was issued multiple citations, including for OVI.
