20-year-old dies after ATV crash near Fort Loramie Saturday

SHELBY COUNTY — A 20-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash that was reported in the 6000 block of Fort Loramie Swanders Road just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

Peyton J. Drees, was driving an ATV in a field access lane when he lost control of the ATV and was ejected.

Another person also riding an ATV in the area turned around and went back to get Drees.

The other driver put Drees on his ATV and took him to the residence where rescue personnel provided lifesaving efforts, investigators said.

CareFlight was requested, but Drees was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office said Drees was not wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
