Anchors
Cheryl McHenry
Working at WHIO-TV is a dream come true for me. From the time my father was transferred to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the mid-1960s, my family always watched Channel 7.
James Brown
Here at News Center 7 we always appreciate your company! I anchor the 5:00 pm, 5:30 pm and 6 pm newscasts with Cheryl McHenry and the 11 pm each weeknight.
John Paul
I was never an early riser, but now I’m adjusting to life as a morning anchor. You can see me on News Center 7 Daybreak weekdays alongside Letitia Perry and Rich Wirdzek.
Letitia Perry
Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Letitia Perry is a product of the public school system. After graduating from Meadowdale High School in Dayton, she went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast/Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant.
Mike Hartsock
I was born in Dayton and grew up in Waynesville; the Miami Valley has been home all my life. I got my start at WPFB Radio in Middletown in 1977 after graduating from Eastern Kentucky University.
Reporters
Andy Sedlak
I’m thrilled to be part of News Center 7 and have made the Miami Valley my second home. I’m originally from a small town just south of Columbus – Circleville, OH.
Becky Grimes
I became interested in broadcasting while still in school at Kettering's Fairmont East High School. I got my start in radio while I was still a senior at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.
Caryn Golden
Hello everyone! You won’t see me as much as you used to in the TV newscasts, but I’m busy behind the scenes as the Managing Editor of the WHIO-TV/WHIO-Radio/Dayton Daily News Breaking News Team.
Drew Simon
I’ve been with Cox Media Group Ohio since October 2011. I started with the company as a reporter for News Talk Radio WHIO, and quickly transitioned to the multi-platform Breaking News Team, which serves WHIO-TV, News Talk Radio WHIO and the Dayton Daily News.
Gabrielle Enright
I am proud to anchor the 4:30 a.m. news each weekday morning and then hit the streets to cover news in your neighborhood.
Jenna Deery
I may be far from my hometown, but this Florida girl is now proud to call the Miami Valley home. I joined the News Center 7 team in February 2011 as a general assignment reporter.
Jessica Heffner
I was born and raised in the Miami Valley and am glad to be working here. I’ve spent most of my career as a print reporter for Cox Media Group’s newspapers in Middletown and Hamilton.
Jim Otte
Jim Otte has been investigating government spending since joining WHIO-TV in 1988. A native of Cincinnati, Otte began his career at radio stations in Oxford, Hamilton and Columbus.
John Bedell
I’ve been with COX Media Group Ohio since April of 2010. I worked as a news anchor, reporter and as the co-host of Flyer Feedback for AM 1290 and 95.
Kate Bartley
I’m thrilled to be a part of the WHIO-TV news team! And I’m not far from home-- I grew up just a couple of hours north in Bucyrus, home of the annual Bratwurst Festival.
Layron Livingston
I am News Center 7's resident Longhorn (Hook 'Em!!!), now working deep in the heart of Flyer, Raider, and Buckeye country.
Mike Campbell

Jamie Simpson
I grew up in Massachusetts, where I experienced a lot of hard-hitting New England weather—powerful summer storms, torrential spring rains, and blizzards and Nor’easters in winter.
Rich Wirdzek
I joined WHIO-TV and the Storm Center 7 weather team as the weekend Meteorologist in July 2006 and then later I became the morning and noon meteorlogist.
Erica Collura
I joined WHIO-TV and Storm Center 7 in August 2010. I also forecast the weather on 7 Weather Now, and report on environmental stories during the week.
McCall Vrydaghs
McCall Vrydaghs joined the Storm Center 7 team in September 2012 and will forecast the weather on weekends and on 7 Weather Now.

Kyla Campbell
Kyla Campbell joined WHIO-TV's Washington bureau in December 2012. She likes digging for news on Capitol Hill and covering how Washington, DC plays a role in stories that affect you.
Scott MacFarlane
Washington D.C. investigative reporter Scott MacFarlane learned Washington from the inside out. He joined our Washington D.
